Aptly named the Frog, for her ability to scale up and over any terrain. Her meticulously maintained body has 285,000 miles and engine; 70,000+/- She is powered by a Subaru SVX engine. 3.3-liter 24-valve 6-cylinder horizontally opposed, 230 hp and 228lb torque. More than enough power to get you up and over most anything. Equipped with a viscous coupler, decoupler and rear locking differential. My girlfriend and I toured the west and all of Baja. The frog proved she is capable of anything, from muddy forest service roads to the sandy roads of the Baja 1000. We loved our travels so much we are committing full time to van life. We are selling because we need a larger van. Since we have owned the van, I have put countless hours of work into her, a labor of love.
Leaving no stone unturned, she does have a small fissure on the bottom corner of the engine block (drivers side) where the adapter plate attaches to the block. I talked to many mechanics that have told me this does not affect performance and I, personally have not had any issue with it.
