THIS RV IS FOR PARTS ONLY! It's too far gone to be restored and used.
We have a 1965 Cortez motor home. These were made by the Clark company (they make forklifts). This Cortez is in sad shape and is no longer road worthy. The front has a major rust issue around the windshield area. We acquired this Cortez to get donor parts for the restoration of the Columbus Fire/OSU Hospital Heartmobile. There are still a lot of good RV parts in this thing. It would be a perfect donor if you are converting a school bus into a camper.
The Cortez has a working Dometic refrigerator, 3 burner range and oven, toilet, table and bench, electric box and shore line, lights, roof vents as well as plastic overhead cabinets. There is no air conditioner. The RV was powered by a Chrysler slant 6 engine mated to a 4 speed front wheel drive drivetrain. The motor is intact, but I have no tried to start it.
This thing needs to go. If you bring cash and a trailer, it's yours. Plenty of useful parts for your bus to RV conversion.
