Detail RV by owner
1973 Ford Econoline Custom E300 Camper Special Balboa 18ft Mini Motorhome Van

This Second Generation Model (1969-74) Ford E-Series Van gas a 2 Barrel Carburetor a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic Transmission and a 351 cu in (5.8 L) Windsor V8. The van has 92,400 original miles. I am the third owner and all the paperwork from the day it was purchased from Zumwalt Ford Dealership in St.Helena, CA. The Camper Unit called a Balboa was built in Costa Mesa at Jensen Marine, a fiberglass boat builder and they were built from 1968-1974 and put on Ford, Dodge, and Chevy Vans. This one piece fiberglass motorhome doesn't leak, or squeak, or rattle. Only a few of these exist. The opportunity to own this type of RV doesn't come around very often. Volkswagen Westfalia or a Sprinter Van will cost you WAY more money, and you will not be traveling with half the style. Just finished a full tune up.

All the lights work, the van runs great. I'd drive it to Alaska tomorrow. Its ready for the new owner. It's quiet and strong. Its great for surfing because you can load your board right in the back door. All the gauges, heat, lights, blinkers, and everything work (except the dome light doesn't turn on when the door opens, it needs a new switch in the door). The van is in mint condition and all original. You can win car shows with this rig.

This motorhome is small enough to drive to the grocery store, yet provides enough room for the whole family. The top bunk area above the front seats can sleep small children or provide a space to hold your gear. The three bench seats all fold into beds. The table slides to the side and acts as the base of one of the beds. The long bench can also be a converted to a bed.
All the upholstery is in mint condition. The previous owner was a duck hunter, hence the awesome duck print! The curtains all add privacy and the cab has two vintage metal window pull-down shades.

The toilet is in working order, but there is no holding tank, so you will want to be hooked up to sewer. (or install a tank) Owners manual included
Propane tanks under the camper runs the auxiliary heater and the stove top.
Microwave runs off auxiliary battery.
25 gallon water tank stored for water and pump, but it will need a new faucet unit. Also hooks to city water via hose (use a pressure regulator).
new refrigerator runs off the battery when the car is running and uses a power inverter to run itself off the Auxillary battery. It also works when the van itself is plugged into an outlet. (when plugged in the outlets work in the camper)
CD Player and an auxiliary jack with speakers for the good sounds
Tune-up last week - Spark Plugs, Plug Wires, Cap, Rotor, Oil Change.
Small dent in the front hood and some very very minor rust (I have my eyes peeled for a used hood, as it would be an easy solution. . ..just bolt it on).
Carpet has some stains on it, but is clean. I would replace that, or put wood in if I was keeping it.

I have never seen a van as cool as this one and I know whoever owns it will be so stoked and happy with it. And they will have no problem making friends. Everyone smiles at this rig.
