I have an original diesel unimog 404.1, not a conversion, has a factory diesel bell housing. It is a 1958 diamler benz. From my research there were only 400 or so that were diesel and the rest were gas. It was a former UN truck according to the previous owner. The truck has a clear title.
I bought the truck A couple of years ago and pulled the body off and completely overhauled the truck, painted the frame with enamel, replaced all lines and wires and replaced the lights with LED's custom aluminum battery box, custom steering links rebuild brakes with new lines.
I converted the truck to 12v, new starter, alternator, lift pump all lights and gauges.
The truck has a 4cyl Mercedes diesel motor. Mechanical front and rear lockers. Yes the truck has the portal axels with 42's. Same rims as a deuce and a half.
The truck was making a noise, I pulled the oil pan off and a crank bearing was bad. I have a second parts motor with injection pump and all. I also have all original parts, including DC generator.
I am interested in trade for a 2.5 ton truck (deuce and a half) M35, or 5 ton truck M939. I am not really interested in ordinary 4x4s, I want a big truck.
