For Sale, 1948 GM 4151 Silverside
Price: ASK SOLDUsed RV for Sale, Found this one offered for sale on Craigslist, an American vintage bus made by General Motors, GM 4151 Silverside built in 1948 for the Greyhound Lines fleet, powered by a Detroit diesel engine with a manual transmission that comes with 100000 miles on it, fair condition. It would be a good start to the conversion project.
The exterior has a good and correct shape, a solid body frame, and no rust issues. The interior has been stripped, just need to put your beds and furniture into it. Unfortunately, no engine bay photos to consider. Overall it would be a great conversion unique and rarely bus, so go ahead.

Hi everyone, I just picked up a 1948 GM silverside 4151 bus Detroit in line 6cyl diesel, 4 speed on colum, from a estate, don't know a lot about it but runs drives and stops, someone put some money in motor compartment, looks like new hoses wiring belts and new injectors, bus itself need full restoriation, has a lot of misc, parts in bus, great winter project or cool motorhome conversion. This 'is the first year they came out with on board air ther is a separate gas motor in middle of bus in bay compartment that runs air , looks all complete but have know idea if it runs or works. I have a lot of books manuals and write ups on old bus that came with it, please come check is out , drive away, I drive it about 5 miles to my place, but kinda a nail biter Open for trades. but cash talks.
